Dr Ishwaria Subbiah MD, MS, FASCO, is a medical oncologist and palliative care physician and serves as the Executive Director, Cancer Care Equity and Professional Wellness at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute as well as the Medical Director, Supportive Care Oncology, Health Equity, and Professional Well-being for The US Oncology Network. In these complementary roles, Dr Subbiah leads the network-wide oncology professional well-being strategy and partners with key teams to enhance symptom management services including palliative care, evidence-based cancer care for older adults, advanced practice provider education, and equity initiatives that broaden clinical trials access across the integrated national cancer care network that cares for 1.4 million people with cancer every year across 250 clinical practices in 24 states with 1,300 oncology physicians.

Dr Subbiah’s areas of expertise include patient-reported outcomes, phase I clinical trials, drug development, older adult participation on cancer clinical trials, symptom management, remote symptom monitoring, supportive care, palliative care, toxicities of therapy, equity and access to cancer treatment trials.
