Professor Kirsten McCaffery is a behavioural scientist and NHMRC Principal Research Fellow at the Sydney School of Public Health, University of Sydney. Her research focuses on health literacy, shared decision-making and reducing low-value care. She leads the Sydney Health Literacy Lab and is the behavioural science research lead for Wiser Healthcare, a national research collaboration. She currently leads a $5M NHMRC Synergy Grant exploring AI health literacy.
