Dr Megan Jeon

Dr Megan Jeon is a clinician researcher in cancer survivorship and supportive care. She is a research fellow at the Psycho Oncology Cooperative Research Group (PoCoG) at The University of Sydney, and also practises as a clinical psychologist at a private practice which specialises in perinatal and women’s mental health service. Dr Jeon has strong research interests in improving symptom management and coordinated care for people with primary brain tumours. Dr Jeon’s doctoral research provided pioneering evidence on sleep disturbance in people with brain tumours in Australia, examining its pervasiveness, severity, and clinical impact on affected individuals. Her recent work within the MRFF funded Brain Cancer Rehabilitation Assessment Interventions for Survivorship Needs (BRAINS) program has focused on improving models of care coordination through system and provider level interventions. She has led several projects shaping the framework for brain cancer care coordination. Dr Jeon serves on the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Cooperative Trials Group for Neuro Oncology (COGNO), and also supervises doctoral students across clinical psychology, trauma informed cancer care, and cancer-related symptom management.
