Dr Tara Clinton McHarg

Dr Tara Clinton McHarg is an implementation scientist and Senior Research Fellow in the Evaluation and Implementation Science Unit at the University of Melbourne. Her research spans multiple areas of cancer and chronic disease, including prevention, screening, psycho oncology, health services research and person centred care. She has partnered with international and national organisations including City Cancer Challenge Switzerland, Cancer Council Victoria, Cancer Council NSW and Flourish Australia to deliver stakeholder driven evaluations and trials. She is currently leading the implementation evaluation of a multi-state liver fibrosis detection pathway trial in primary care, and developing a tool to support cancer knowledge translation in low and middle income countries. Tara is co-chair of the PoCoG Cancer Prevention Special Interest Group.
