Beth Ivimey is an oncology nurse, patient advocate and person living with metastatic cholangiocarcinoma. Beth is a specialist lung cancer nurse who has worked for over 20 years to improve outcomes for patients with lung cancer and mesothelioma through teamwork and collaboration with a focus on nurse education and support in the national and international setting. Beth was the inaugural Chairperson of The International Thoracic Oncology Nurses Forum and deputy chair of the Australian New Zealand Lung Cancer Nurses Forum. In late 2022 Beth was diagnosed with Metastatic Cholangiocarcinoma and became an informed oncology patient with a short prognosis. Then, with the lived benefit of genomic testing, she became a person Thriving in the Long Middle, and a living advocate for genomic testing and precision oncology.
