A/Prof Carolyn Nickson is an epidemiologist specialising in cancer control. She leads research programs focussed on breast cancer, early onset cancer and risk-adjusted cancer screening and surveillance. Her work has included the ROSA Project which investigated options for transitioning the BreastScreen Australia program to a more risk-adjusted approach, and she is leading an upcoming trial of risk-adjusted breast screening in Victoria (the MyScreen Trial). She heads breast cancer research at the Cancer Elimination Collaboration at the University of Sydney and also holds appointments at the University of Melbourne and The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
