Lillian Leigh brings lived experience of personalised medicine to her work in cancer governance, policy and research advocacy.

Lillian was appointed by the federal Minister for Health to the Advisory Council of Cancer Australia, and by the NSW Minister for Health to the Board of the Cancer Institute NSW. She is a founding board member of the Thoracic Oncology Group of Australasia (TOGA) and has served on the Australian Health Ethics Committee and the joint Consumer Advisory Group of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the Medical Research Future Fund. With Rare Cancers Australia, she co-chaired the Expert Working Group developing Australia's first Optimal Care Pathway for Rare and Less Common Cancers. She is also a member of the Global Policy and Partnerships Committee of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).

Lillian is a lawyer. She is Deputy Company Secretary at the Australian Financial Complaints Authority, following a career in consumer law at Legal Aid NSW. She holds a Master of Laws and is a graduate of the AICD.
